Love Feast is the one Sunday a month when we sit down together and share a meal. “Pot Luck’ doesn’t do it justice. “Shared Dish Meal” just sounds coy. Somehow, Love Feast seems more …real.
In a world where food arrives in our kitchens fully cooked, frozen, wrapped in plastic and stuffed into a cardboard box, in a world where restaurants are designed to make it convenient for us to eat in our cars, where ‘fast food’ is not an oxymoron, where soup is sold in cans you can drink from, where instant coffee is sold at Starbucks…
…taking the time to stop everything and share a meal together is an act of insurrection. It is a moment in our life as a community where we make a space for the Kingdom of God to come to alive in our midst.
Love Feast. Bring something delicious to share. Bring your self. Viva la Revolucion!
